General Questions
Q: Is there an entrance fee for the NZEE Awards?
A: No. The NZEE Awards are free to enter.
Q: How do I sponsor an award?
A: Please contact sponsors@nzeeawards.org.nz
Q: In what other ways can we support the NZEE Awards?
A: There is a number of ways that organisations and individuals may contribute to this national event. For example, you may wish to sponsor a part of the event or advertise the event in your own publications or journals. Please contact enquiries@nzeeawards.org.nz to obtain standard opportunities or to discuss alternative ideas.
Q: Can we sponsor an award as well as enter in an award?
A: Yes. The judges are independent of both the Sponsors and the Partners so you can sponsor an award and enter a project or an individual award.
Q: We won an award and would like duplicate certificates and a duplicate trophy. Are we able to get copies?
A: Yes. Please contact the awards administrator on enquiries@nzeeawards.org.nz who will arrange this for a nominal charge covering materials, labour packaging and postage.
Q: We are an Awards' finalist and would like to publicise this. Are there any restrictions to what we can say?
A: No. There are no restrictions on entrants or their employers other than the standard conditions of entry, but we would recommend and encourage you to use the services of the NZEE Awards' media co-ordinator as we want to get as much coverage for both you and the Awards. It is our experience that an unco-ordinated media campaign can produce the opposite results to those intended. Please contact media@ipenz.org.nz for assistance.
Q: Can I enter a project in more than one Project and Product Award?
A: Yes. For the Project and Product Awards you can enter into two categories for one project. For example, the project could be entered into the Building, Construction and Amenities and the Sustainability and Clean Technology Award. See the entry and judging criteria for more details.
Q: Can I enter more than one project into the Awards?
A: Yes. There is no restriction on the number of projects you enter.
Q: Can there be more than one person on an entry for an the New Zealand Engineering Innovator or Entrepreneur Awards?
A: Yes. The entry criteria states "engineer, engineering technologist, or a team engaged in engineering activities" may enter. We recommend that no more than four people are named on the entry.
Q: Can I get a copy of the NZEE Awards Book 2009?
A: Yes, while copies last. Please contact enquiries@nzeeawards.org.nz
Q: Can we have more than one organisation as an entrant for a project?
A: Yes. For example, an entry may have the principal engineering company, the client and the property company or the entry may be an alliance.
You must sign the declaration "I/We declare that I/we have obtained the permission of all relevant parties to this activity to proceed with this entry according to the conditions of entry. I/We declare all engineering contributors have been identified as part of the engineering team".
Think carefully about who you want to nominate as entrants as this information will be used in all publicity and advertising material. The Awards' Partners can take no responsibility for omissions or incorrect information that is supplied on the online entry if this subsequently appears on a trophy, on a certificate or in the Awards Book.
Q: We previously entered into the NZEE Awards with this project. Can I enter again this year?
A: Yes. You can enter for any category as long as you fit the criteria for this year and haven’t previously won an NZEE Project and Product Award for this project.

A: No. The Project and Product Awards are for organisations or companies.

Q: Our company has only four employees, can we enter the Project and Product Awards?
